In billing, is it always safe to do Pricing type G, copy pricing unchanged and redetermine taxes?

Is this maintained in copy control from del to billing? where is the config done?

my approach is to use pricing type H (redetermine freight conditions)in copy control from order to delivery (how does system know to copy existing pricing conditions unchanged and only redetermine freight conditions(freight conditions can be weight or percentage based right?).

Then in delivery to billing copy control use pricing type G. Is this approach standard and correct?

Hello,

In the copying control, pricing type G will redetermine only the tax conditions (condition category D). The delivery to billing copying control can be set in VTFL.

If you put the pricing type as H, it will redetermine the freight conditions only (condition category F). the order to delivery copying control can be set in VTLA.

The pricing type relevent re-determination is controlled by the condition category in the condition type.

Yes, it is maintained in transaction VTFL - copy control for delivery to billing document

select billing type as F2 and delivery as LF.

Select Item and select item category as TAN.

Regarding your next question that you want to use pricing type H in copy control from order to delivery.

This is not possible and you can check this in transaction VTLA.

Select order type as OR and delivery type as LF. Against item category TAN, you would see that there is no option for pricing type. That means system copies price from order to delivery without any changes.

But, you can update or redetermine prices at delivery stage. After creating your delivery, go to item conditions and click update button and system would redetermine prices as per pricing type you selected.

Then from delivery to billing document, since you have already maintained pricing type as G, system would copy the new price determined at delivery stage and redetermine taxes.
