I'm having this same issue. This application is running against a data warehouse with an unknown return set of data (the rows are certainly unknown, columns are more often "known").

Does this mean that we need to create a dummy set of data that can reach the "limits" of our expected bind range?

Is there an easy way to simply update the range in the xml url ? Or does the full dataset need to be there when i import an xml url?

What is the application (xls or Xcelsius) limit on the number of rows that CAN be returned via XML maps?

What is the limit to the number of rows that can be bound to an Xcelsius object?

Since Excel expands the rows in the range on refresh, I dont see why BO cannot enhance the product to do the same (at least on the row level). I am very concerned that reporting will be inaccurate because data is simply dropped due to this limitation.

In the Designer version, you can define a large data range that you know your data will not go over - and simply enable the 'Ignore end blanks' feature so that the ranges coming in can grow/shrink (dynamic).
