Hello

I'd like to import the interactive chart we've created into a Flash application but when the Xcelsius' swf file is shown on the stage, it doesn't show any graphics and instead shows some text placeholders.

Has anyone done this and am I doing something stupid.

Thanks

Chris

Flash problems are usually related to having an older version installed. Make sure that the machine the chart was created on has the same Flash version as the Flash application you are trying to view it in.

I had a similar problem when importing a .swf from Xcelsius into Adobe Captivate. The problem ended up being that Captivate likes Flash 8 files, and not Flash 7 files (which is what Xcelsius exports). I used this little program

to convert it from 7 to 8 and it imported perfectly and beautifully. might be worth a shot.

Thanks for getting back to me. Xcelsius is installed on the same pc as Flash. I'm using Flash CS3.

I then tried downloading the program you suggested. It patched the swf file succesfully but I still get the same problem importing to Flash - it shows a couple of white boxes on the words "Background".

Any other ideas?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Flash Player on the IE browser.

1)You can use the following link to uninstall Flash Player from your computer:

http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe

2) After uninstalling flash, use Internet Explorer to install Flash Player. You can use the following link to install Flash:
