Windows Service hangs during Load

Using Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008, the Load ( string ) method of CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument works fine when executed interactively, but hangs when a Windows Service executes it.

It worked fine both ways with Crystal Reports 10.0

If this is a limitation of the Basic edition, then I would expect an Exception at least.
