An error has occurred while attempting to load the Crystal Reports runtime (again)

Hi,

I installed VS 2008 (90-day trial) and converted one of my VS 2005 w/CR IX 2 projects. Conversion went smoothly. However, when I went to "View Designer"

for the project, I got:

An error has occurred while attempting to load the Crystal Reports runtime. Either the Crystal Reports registry key permissions are insufficient or the Crystal Reports

runtime is not installed correctly. Please install the appropriate Crystal Reports redistributable (CRRedist*.msi) containing the correct version of the Crystal Reports

runtime (x86, x64, or Itanium) required. Please go to http://www.businessobjects.com/support for more information

This has been documented before either in this forum or the MSDN forum. The solution was to change the platform target to x86. However, this did not work for me.

Has anyone else experienced this with VS 2008and the CR Basic for VS 2008?

Thanks,

Marv
