Setdatasource from dataset to Crystal Report hangs

I have an application which has worked fine until Monday. But now the code hangs when it tries to populate a crystal report with a dataset. I can view the dataset alone in a datagrid but as soon as I get to the setdatasource code the application hangs. Why?
