<p>I installed Crystal Reports for Eclipse following the instructions found in the Installing Crystal Reports for Eclipse via the Update Manager. </p><p>Following the installation, I go into the Help|Software Updates|Manage Configuration and check that there are no red x's by any components, and that the Crystal Reports for Eclipse v1.0.1.v671 is in the list of installed components. </p><p>The following the Getting Started guide, I create a Crystal Reports Web Project. </p><p>I go to open the CrystalReport1.rpt file, and a text editor is opened up with a lot of unreadable characters. </p><p>There is no Crystal Reports Perspective available, and obviously no Crystal Reports Editor. </p><p> </p><p>I am running Eclipse 3.2.1 on Linux (Ubuntu) </p><p> </p><p>Thanks, </p><p> </p><p>Steve </p>
