Crystal's 'MS Excel (data only) format not compatible on mobile devices! (smartphones, PDA's)

Recent failures to open simple .xls exports from Crystal on PDA's running Windows PPC and Mobile Excel indicate the export format are not compatible. The .xls files open fine to desktop versions of Excel, and again open fine on the PDA when simply saved and forwarded from the PC, but Crystal Report Server does not natively send in an acceptable Mobile format. Surely there are hundreds of potential users (and growing!) that will be disheartened! Sorry, road warriors ... unless someone knows another way?

Not sure on the details of this but I can tell you that Business Objects now has a Mobile product for Business Objects XI R2 that allows you to view reports in a mobile format.
