VFX3 : Valuation with product cost estimate: error with material 6500 (Costing key YB2)

Hi all,

When we were trying to release to accounting using VFX3, the following error is coming:

Valuation with material cost estimate: error with material 6500.

Hint: this material is valuated with a price indicator set to "V", but the Product cost estimate view in MM01 has been created accidentally for this material.

message No:Ke350

In profitability analysis (CO- PA), the system tried to valuate a line item using the current standard cost estimate.

In order to determine the current plan period, the system needs to read the valuation segment of the material master.

The system has found that the current plan period is the initial value for material 6500 in plant xxxx

the system looked for the material cost estimate using Costing keyYB2, as defined in the customizing settings for CO - PA

Thanks,

Have a look at OSS note 2038550 if the issue is coming after Upgrade

Thanks Lakshmipathi, actually the problem comes from the fact that this material was accidentally created with a product cost estimate view and it is valuated with a price indicator of "V". So I am wondering if there is a way to put an exception not to control the product cost estimate of this article since it is not needed. ??

Thanks,

You can try in KE4H where you maintain that material with blank costing key. I feel, that should work.

Hi,

Check COPA configuration in KEPC t code whether you assigned your material type for record type billing data.

Thanks PRASAD, I tired to check the COPA config in KEPC but everything is fine.
