I attended a diamond developer conference and the presenter had the entire presentation in a crystal report using web elements and the whole report had a web site feel to it.

Has anyone used that functionality with web elements in crystal reports? Does anyone have examples for WEIFrame in reports?

Thanks
AJ

hey AJ, glad you attended the IUC presentation. i was the co-presenter...i.e. the guy that just stood there and didn't do anything.
the report that you saw (the reporting portal) was done with the webelements 2.1 suite which we're going to be posting this week to Diamond.
there are 2 new functions in 2.1 that will allow you to pass values to the WEIFrame control...a tree control, and a tab menu control. both these controls use the exact same syntax so you can swap them out and experiment with the look and feel...or use them both like we did for the demo.
we are working towards having this presentation up live on Diamond with the reporting portal completely active.
for now, if you want to send me an email, at jamie.wiseman@businessobjects.com i'll be more than happy to send you the portal report that was used as the shell for the presentation...you can then just substitute the links being passed to the iframe in that report for your own.
cheers,
jamieÂ
