Summing a formula based on a Group

I'm in a situation where I needed a formula that evaluates for a group. The formula yields a 1 or 0. The problem is, since this formula isn't executed at the detail level it can not be summed at higher group levels.

Is there a clever way to "sum" a result of a formula placed in lower level groups but is not present at the detail level?

Here's a visual idea of what I need

G1 Service: **Need sum of formula in G2**

G2 Request#: MIN of three date fields, Formula yielding 1 or 0

D Request History (bunch of date fields)
