cr4e newbie here, plz forgive my limited knowledge.
I have a crosstab that is totaling four numeric buckets nicely, but some users would like to see calculations (percentages) based on two of those buckets -- outside the crosstab. I'm not saying this is a good idea, I'm just describing the situation...
In the past, I have referred to cells outside of a crosstab in a pivot table [MS Excel], and I'm hoping to somehow get away with this in cr4e.
I did some digging and I can see cells identified as crosstab total cells in the Outline tab of the cr4e report designer.
The report outline looks a bit like this:
Crosstab1
+Rows
+Cells
-Summaries
-Crosstab1(sum0)
-Crosstab1(sum1)
-Crosstab1(sum2)
-Crosstab1(sum3)
+Cell: Dept by BSNSS_DT - Sum({myTable.this})
+Cell: Dept by Total Column - Sum({myTable.that})
+Cell: Total Row by Total Column - Sum({myTable.theOther})
I cannot drag any of the cells into the report layout nor have I found a way to refer to them in a function.
Any ideas?
There are some really different things that CR4E does that could be of interest and help here. I suggest posting this question up to the guys that know Eclipse and CR the best.
