Page beaking at the end of every group

<font face="Times New Roman" size="3" color="#000000"><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: black">Hi,</span></font><font face="Times New Roman" size="3" color="#000000"><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: black">A report is grouped by a field called LOADNO. The limitation is how can the report display one group (LOADNO) per page?</span></font><font face="Times New Roman" size="3" color="#000000"><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: black">I was able to achieve this by using "<strong><span style="font-weight: bold">Selection Expert</span></strong> on <strong><span style="font-weight: bold">Group Header" </span></strong>using the option "<strong><span style="font-weight: bold">New Page Before"</span></strong>. However, there is one problem with the result. The problem is that the first page in the report is empty, and I couldn't find a way of suppressing the empty page from appearing.</span></font><font face="Times New Roman" size="3" color="#000000"><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: black">What do I need in order to benefit from expert support on this issue?</span></font>

In the section expert for the group header you are talking about, beside the option for new page before - click the conditional formatting button. When the formula workshop opens up, enter the following text...

 Not onfirstrecord

 This will eliminate the new page before option @ the start of your report, but leave it intact from that point onwards throughout the report.

You can also use 'Not onlastrecord' in the Group Footer to eliminate the equivalent 'New Page After' problem.

<p>Hi,<br /><br />What you want to do is use the conditional formatting option beside New Page Before and add the formula</p><p>Groupnumber<>1</p><p>Which will stop the New Page Before on the first group, this is what is giving you your blank page.</p><p>Cheers,<br />Todd</p>
