Export XI Design

Hello,

I want to export my Design (Datatypes, Messagetypes, Message Interfaces, Mappings) so that I can import them on another system landscape having a integration server, too.

How do I export all the stuff?

Do I need to export the SW-Component because the design namespace belongs to it?

Can you help me?

thank you.

Khimavath, has explained you beautifully...and very minutely

Do I need to export the SW-Component because the design namespace belongs to it?

Offcourse you need to , better i'll suggest you Export and Import design Objects on the basis of Software components only..

Hi,

Its not like that you can do individually also.

In ID->go to Tools->export design objects->you will find a Software componet version-> select your SWComponet Click on that-> Under mode you will see 2 options select transport using file system->Continue->drop down you will see Individual objects select that->under select single objects you will see 5 buttons, hit 4th button (ie add all object of SWcomponet) there you will see your Datatypes, message type etc.. all individual objects. select your ojects and say finish.

Then you will see "Export sucessfully" and your file will be saved in .tpz format and also you will see the export path. but this will be stored in the server. so take that path and give to basis guy he will give you the .tpz file and then you can import that in your another system landscape.

Please reward points if it helps

Thanks
