Hi:
When I try to release a process order , I get this error message:
"CAnnot release production order for plant".
I get this message for a particular material in the plant. For other materials, it's working fine.
Please give your suggestions!
Gautham
Hi All:
The issue is solved.
Wrong strategy was being used in the material master for batch determination. Changed the strategy and everything is working fine.
Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi,
Check the Tasklist usage for your routing for that material.
For this usage ,check in op45 against the task list type whether until release indicator has been enabled. If so remove
and do the release.
or
check whether workcenter which is used for producing the material has been locked in work center itself.
Indicator: Usage only until release in orderIndicator used to specify for a task list usage and a task list type that an operation in the order cannot be released. This occurs when a work center group that is not intended for production is allocated to this operation.
When this type of operation in the order is released you must enter the work center where production should take place.

Hy Gautham,
What are the prerequisites you have set before the release?
for e.g.
1)Batch Determination / Derivation
2)Resorce selection codition
3)Missing Part
4)capacity check
5)Control recipe generate
As per your msg no. it looks like developed for some specific function exit , so just sit with your abaper and ask reason code for error msg.

Dhaval
Hi All:
I did try everything as suggested above.
But I still get the same error and it's only for this material in the plant. For all other materials it's working fine.
Thanks

Hi,
Please also Check with "untill rel" check box at OP45.
"Task list usage type" defined at Resource and for the same "untill rel" box at OP45.

Hi,
