Upgrade to ECC 6

Hi Guys,

we are planning to upgrade from R/3 4.6B to ECC 6.0

I have currently upgraded the database from 8.0.6 to 9.2.0.4 64 Bit with SAP kernel 46D. Everything works fine now but when I upgraded the kernel to 46D 64 bit, R3trans -d is not working. I put the original 46D kernel back and everything works fine as b4.

Solaris 9 is 64 bit.

I dont know y the 46D 64 bit kernel is not working... If there's a fix can someone please post it..

On the other hand, I am thinking y I even need the 46D 64 bit kernel. Cant I just upgrade to ECC 6 from SAP 4.6B with 46D kernel? DO I absolutely need the 46D 64 bit kernel before I can upgrade to ECC6?

Hi Seelan,

Please read the upgrade guide from 32 bit to 64 bit everytining is mentiond there what steps you have to take.

If you have any doubt rest of this then mentioned here.

Hello,

Please upgrade the Kernel to 4.6D extended for the SAP upgrade which is mandetory step after the database upgrade to 10.0.2

Hi Guys, I solved the problem. There were linking issues. I just created a link to the actual files from a file that it was looking for. Everything works fine after I linked them.
