"Delivery quantity is greater than target quantity &&&"

Hi SAP Experts,

An outbound delivery was created against a sales order. The materials undergo auto-batch determination except for one item. A TO was created against the delivery and during creation, the system proposed the batch for the material that did not undergo auto-batch during delivery creation. The TO was confirmed afterwards. During GI, the system issued a message that there are no stock for the material (the problematic one). The batch proposed in the TO was populated with stock for the GI to proceed. A new error message now appears during GI, "Delivery quantity is greater than target quantity &&&". We checked the batch stock and it appears that the stock was equal to the quantity in the sales order. We also checked the delivery and it appears that the status of the problematic material is completely picked. Is this the reason why during goods issue, we encounter the overdelivery error message? How will we go about this transaction?

Please help. We really need to resolve this issue asap. Points will be given to helpful suggestions. 😃

Go to delivery item categories 0vlp , and check the field checkover delivery

Go to 0vlp, (zero v l p) select the item category and maintain "B" for Check overdelivery. This will fulfill your requirement.

OVLP is currently configured such that it checks the overdelivery. Actually it currently hinders the goods issuance against the delivery. What we want to do now is to post the goods issue. Is it safe to remove the "Check delivery" in 0VLP?
