If we go to the Progress Analysis Workbench (CNPAWB), we'll find there the following parameters (as to the financial aspects):

1. BCWS

2. BCWP

3. ACWP

4. BAC (Budget at Completion)

How do we enter BAC? Is it a given value in the first place, or a computed one?

Another question, how do BCWS and BCWP reflect on this report?

Thanks a lot for the reply.

Hi,

Procedure1: For the Tcode: CNPAWB

To get the values on the BCWS:

Please follow the steps:

Step1. TCode : CJ20N, Select the WBS Element or Network or activity. Go to the Progress tab.

Step2. Mention the POC Weight (This will be the planned weight for the Object) for all or the selected object.

Step3. Mention the Progress version which was configured earlier.

Step4. Later Mention the Planned as well as actual Measurement method for the POC calculation.

Step5. Save the Project.

Step6: Run Tcode CNE1 with Check mark on With hierarchy and remove check mark on test run.

Step7. Execute CNPAWB with the Object status: Not Started.

Now you can see the values in BCWS.

Procedure2: For the Tcode: CNPAWB

To get the values on the BCWP:

Step1. Goto CJ20N, Select an activity for which the POC weight was mentioned. Give a partial confirmation Say 10%. And save the Project.

Step2. Run Tcode CNE1 with Check mark on With hierarchy and remove check mark on test run.

Step3. Execute CNPAWB with the Object status: Started but incomplete.

Now you can see the values in BCWP.

BCWP Is calculated as follows:

BCWP = Actual POC * overall costs

Step4: Also you can see the ACWP (i.e the actual costs)

For BAC Values:

These are purly the calculated values for the activities only and can be seen in Procedure1 Step 7 as well as Procedure2 Step 3.

These values are getting populated same as that of BCWS.

BAC is nothing but Budget at Completion (BAC) i.e The total planned value (PV or BCWS) at the end of the project.

Hope its useful.

Reward points if useful.

thanks..

Varshal,

Do you have any documentation or link for this process ? I want to have it in detail.

Hi again.

Thank you so much for the reply.

I've carefully followed the steps; however, I still couldn't come up with a value for BCWS and BCWP.

These are the procedures I've gone through:

1. Inputting of values at CJ40, CJ30

2. Inputting of same values at CJR2

3. Releasing of Budget at CJ32

4. Releasing of WBS -- PR generation

5. Generation of PO (Commitment values)

6. Good receipt (MIGO)

How come, I still couldn't come up with a value for the BCWS and BCWP?

What could have been the problem? I've made the configuration for Progress Version.

Is there an appropriate Progress Measurement method for these values to come up?

Thank you so much, in advance, for the help.

Hi,

Have maintianed the POC Weight and the POC menthod as explained?

Seem you have missed out on that.

Only creating th eprogress version does not give the value. One need to assign the above mentioned Methods to the Activities,WBS elements.

Try that from CJ20N.

thanks..

Oh, yeah... I've defined the POC weight as well as the measurement method even before I defined the costs (planned and budget).

Still... there's no BCWS and BCWP.

I suspect it's on the Progress Version... But I'm done with its configuration.

What could have been the problem?

hi,

I doubt on the statistical key figure assignment and the progress cost element assignment.

Take help of your FICO if possible on both of them.

Check the link below for the detailed discussion on customization of POC:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/3d/72369adc56d11195100060b03c6b76/frameset.htm

After planning the cost and actual cost do not forget to run Tcode:CNE1, without this one will not get the EV's

thanks..
