1. Can any one tell me what is the basic difference between inquiry and request for quotation?
2.Can any one explain with one example?

1.Customer sends inquiry as a document or just by phone he does inquiry?
2.while doing inquiry will the customer asks for quotation?
3.then how sales department of vendor responds? with a quotation or an order?
