quantity contract issue

Hi,

Suppose i created a quantity contract of 100 quantity now when i am creating an order with reference to that contract with quantity 200 no message is coming that ur quantity exceeds.

In item category of contract i use C as completion rule field.And in copy control i use 2 in update document flow and + sign in postive/negative quantity field.

Any thing else i need to do.

Try Tcode VTAA in that keep copy qty. field blank for yr contract item catagory and try.

Hi

Please confirm, in whcih Item Category the configuration for COmpletion Rule is made. It should be done in the Item Category of the Quantity Contract.

Yes i did it in quantity contract item category.I am also surprised by it.Someone said that you need to actibate system message but he is also not sure about it.

Is thr any system message setting?

Hi satyamurthy

In copy controls check the document flow. and also check for the the doc type CQ wheather any completion rule is assigned or not.

Once you copy the entire quantity , put a reason for rejection for that contract till then the contract will be open

In the item category i assigned the completion rule C and in the copy control i assigned + in negative/positive field.

But still not able to get that message where order quantity exceeds contract quantity.

Is there any setting where we can activate the system message.

Hi,

Please check outline aggreement messages field in VOV8 t.code of transaction tabage for that sales document type.

Please configure that as per ur requirement...

Please also check copy control settings between contract and sales order document item level- quantity field settings..

What u have done is correct. Only One question have u made the said chagnes before making contract ? If no then please make new contract and try to change qty in sales order if u r in testing server.

yes dear after making any changes i am creating a new contract than its subsequent order but still that message is not coming.

I am also surprised why it is not coming.

Any configuration where we need to activate the system message

Hello,

If you are in the test syste, then make the completion rule in the item category as E and try...

But E is for value based contract not for quantity contract.And why not c in test system any specific reason for it.

i tried all the option avilable in the completion rule.no message is coming.Still user able to make the order where order quantity is greater than contract quantity.
