Delete the node in MDM Hierarchy table from portal thru STD iView

Hi all

i have a requirement like i want to delete a node in the MDM hierachy table from portal thru STD iView.

can you please tell me whether that is possible or not thru the standard iView or not??

if possible please let me know what are the steps for the same how to delete the either root node or child node from the hierarchy table thru STD iView. once i delete the node i want to display the hierarchy struture from portal thru STD iView??

please reply ASAP, it is urgent?

Hi Sunil,

It is possible to delete the record. Please follow the below steps:

1. Create the ItemDetails iView and select Hierarchy field

2. Create the resultSet iView and select the Hierarchy field

3. Create one page and insert both the iViews in it.

4. Select the particular record you want to delete in the result Set iView

5. Same will appear in the ItemDetails iView. Click on Edit and then Click Delete to delete that record or node

Note: You cannot delete the record which is linked with the main table record. If you try to delete that record then an error message will appear .

I think this is not possible to delete the node in the hierarchy table thru Portal.
