BPC 5.1(Single Server) Install on SQL 2005 - Number of databases.

Hi

i have installed BPC 5.1 (Single Server) on SQL2005; After installation I see ApShell and APPsever databases in Management studio; ApShell in Analysis services. I don't see AppshellExtra other databases which BPC 5.1 backup and restore guide talks about.

Have i missed something during install? Please reply.

Extra database is for Audit purpose. Therfore, If you turn on audit, it will be created.

AppServer database is shared database for storing all appset information so usually, it doesn't need to be backup.

It will be only one in whole BPC system.

Thanks a lot. How do we turn on Auditing feature? I am confused with Osoft 5 and BPC 5.1 terminology? how they are connected?
