Hi to all,

when i try to login to the SAP server, i am getting an ABAP Runtime Error as DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_REQUEST. Also it says that The current ABAP/4 program terminated due to an internal error in the database interface.

I could not do anything in the GUI other than clicking the LOGON button and the error messages. Please help me to solve this issue.

localhost is my system name.

Thank you all...

Hi,

localhost is my system name.

you have to add entry hostname in hosts file.

stop you sap server. now right click on my computer -> properties ->Computer name

add this computer name in hosts file under \windows\system32\drivers\etc

ip address - tab- hostname

x.x.x.x -

tab -

hostname

where x.x.x.x is your server ip address.

thank yaar.. for your reply.. first of all...

there in the host file it already had an entry 127.0.0.1 localhost

now if i give the IP address of my server as 192.168.1.1 in my LAN...

i should append this following line to the host file, rite??

127.0.0.1 LOCALHOST

192.168.1.1 LOCALHOST

is it rite?? now??

Hi,

No.

192.168.1.1 LOCALHOST is wrong

if 192.168.1.1 is you sap server ip address then hosts file look like

192.168.1.1 -tab hostname

where hostname is your host name of SAP Server.

HI,

If your system is standalone system then you can install Microsoft loop back adapter on that and assign ip address to that.

check following thread to installation procedure.

Hi,

Yes you need to upgrade oracle patch.

and you should delete previous entry of 127.0.0.1 as localhost.

Hi,

I suggest you to perform new installation with valid hostname

don't give computer name localhost. give some identical name like saptest or anything you want.

also consider suggestion by Mr. Markus on your previous thread use kernel 640 on Windows 2003 server.
