Set focus to form input field

Hi,

does anybody know how to automatically set the focus on an input field of form view. I have an application with a scanner as input device and I'm not able to select the input field before I enter the value? Any idea how to do that with VC7.1, any trick or workaround?

Hi Kevin,

AFAIK, this is not possible in VC7.1

But did you try -> press "tab" key to give control to the reqd. field?

thanks for the response. I'm just using a scanner as input device for this application so unfortunately there is no tab key available.

We developed an application which required to set focus to an input field by pressing a button. It is not possible with VC so the workaround was to embed the VC application in an IFrame of another web application and used JavaScript in the embedding window in order to set the focus on the input field.

I close this thread since the question was answered with NO.
