Are EF6 migrations supported on SAP HANA database?

I need to know if it is possible to use the ef code first approach with migrations with a SAP HANA database.

This particular is very important because based on it we will decide to use this database or remain with the platform that we already used.

Thank you.

I might be mistaken, but this feature is only available in Visual Studio for MS-SQL Server databases.

Modelling database artifacts with HANA works differently. You model it using the design artifacts (i.e.: hdbdd or cds files). Once you activate such design artifacts (or build the project in case you are talking about cloud foundry) they become runtime artifacts. Whenever you make changes to the design artifacts, the database takes care of evolving the runtime artifacts for you. This approach is not "bullet-proof" so you might want to look into other options to manage the database runtime artifacts from market players that will do the same as EF6 without being tightly bound to the technology used for development.

    Best regards,
