To transfer the stock who's UoM is different.

Hi guru's,

Please anybody guide how can I transfer the old material stock to a new material stock who's unit of measure is different.but in same plant. what is the best procedure.

Its urgent.

Hi

Material to material trnasfer is not possible for materials having different UOM.

Best option would be to issue the stock to Consumption from old material usingh 201 & getting back the Stock of new material using reversal movemnt 202.

Thsi would diminish the stock of old & replenish the stock of new material.

if possible then maintain alternative unit of measurement in material master additional data. maintain the issuing unit same as another materials base unit. then you can transfer the stock with mvt. type 309.(material to material) stock transfer.

Plz check if you can maintain u2018alternative UOMu2019 in both the material master records with conversion factor, in 'Units of Measure tab' under 'additional data'.
