Automatic Update of Planned Project Revenue in BYD?

In BYD, if I create a Sales Based Project, the planned revenue etc, is copied into the project. However, if I update the plan in the project (e.g. increase the planned days), then the planned cost increases automatically, but the planned revenue does not. Since this is a T&M based item, then in principle the planned revenue should increase also.

Does anyone know if this can be automated?

    Hi Steve,

the reason for this behavior is that the sales order is the customer-facing document that contains the commercial aspects and with that is responsible for pricing. The project stands for planning and execution of the services sold. The project behavior is independent of whether a task is linked to a T&M or a fixed price item. It may even be linked to several items and especially a fixed price sales order item and a T&M sales order item at the same time.
Thus, there is no automatic feature that would do what you request.

I would however, subscribe to the idea of a closer connection between the sales order and the project. Thus, I could envision that upon update of the project there should be a way to update the sales order, with that obtain a new price which can then be taken over into the project.
This is not planned so far. But, I'd appreciate if you created an improvement request.

    Best regards
