I created Public Dimension with customer IDs and their names. Added this Public Dimension to new model that I created that has customer IDs that match with IDs in Public Dimension. When I save this new model it asked me to select default values for Public Dimension (I selected the first # default record).
When I try to create story show Sales QTY per Customer IDs all Sales QTY are mapped to Default Unassigned (#) ID. Not able to see any Sales QTY against any other Customer IDs.
Hi Sharad,
I think I know what you are trying to do and do not believe we support what you want yet.
For now you will need to reload the data to the new public customer dimension members, and default the old (private) customer dimension to "#" - unassigned. Know what I mean?

Thanks John for your reply. I was trying to reduce number of Duplicate Dimensions that we are going to create by using Public Dimensions. But as feature is not supported yet, we have to create similar Dimensions with each model that we are going to create for Stories.
When you think this feature will be available/supported.
Thanks once again.
HI Sharad,

Maybe this blog post can help you.

the trick is you have to create your model from blank and not from a data source.
