SAPUI5 standanlone application with HTML NWBC

Dear Experts,

My customer uses NWBC HTML to access WDA, BSP, and SRM. Now we are creating some SAPUI5 apps need to call them from NWBC HTML. I read a lot of blogs and documentations but even so I still have some questions.

Technical info:

a - The SAPUI5 are stored locally in same abap server that runs all other applications (it means thEY are stored as BSP applications in SE80)

b - SAP_BASIS and SAP_ABA are 750 SP level 003; SAP_UI is 750 SP level 005

Now the questions:

1 - In some blogs I see an option for "SAP Fiori App" but it does not show on my list. I only have SAP Fiori Catalog and SAP Fiori Group. I opened an OSS for this issue.

2 - In Menu tab of PFCG should I add an WEB Address, SAP Fiori APP (when available) or BSP Application to call the sapui5 app?

3 - In case it is a Web Address should I inform the full path including internal server address or can is there a way to indicate only the sicf service so the system resolves the full path for each system on my landscap? Maybe indicating something like /default_host/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/zsapui5app.

4 - What is the recommended NWBC service to be used? Should I use the BC/NWBC or BC/UI2/NWBC?

Thanks

Hi Frederico,

instead of seeing "SAP Fiori App" you should see at least "FLP App Provider" right?

And to always use the latest developments in your system, you need to connect to the server runtime for SAP NetWeaver UI services.

Fiori integration in PFCG please have a look at the following documentation:

Hi Sandra,

You are correct! According to KBA 2597984 the FLP_APP_PROVIDER should be used if no SAP Fiori App is available on PFCG menu.

The SAP incident is still opened because the FLP_APP_PROVIDER menu is not displayed on NWBC HTML even after following the instructions in the help link provided by you.

Did you ever have success when calling sapui5 apps with NWBC HTML?

Thanks

Frederico,

it could work. E.g. with IE 11. But even if - it is not officially supported. Intention for UI5 apps = running in SAP Fiori launchpad. I am afraid - no good news for you.

Regards,

Sandra
