MDM importing is not working. In the exception folder, it says:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?> - <File>
<ExceptionSubFolder> D:\usr\sap\PMM\MDS00\mdm\distributions\USDCAS02%OTHERPROD_MSQL\EDMRR_PROD\Inbound\PP3\CostCtr_In_AP\Exception\ValueX\</ExceptionSubFolder> <Name> 20180131190213_V_CostCenters.xml</Name> <ExceptionType> ValueX</ExceptionType> <TimeStamp> 20180131190213_V</TimeStamp> </File> Pls help!
Hello Yueshuang,
Value exception prevent MDIS from importing a specific record. When such exception is encountered, an exception file for the offending records is copied to the ValueX folder, respectively. MDIS then continues processing the import file and all other, non-exceptional records are imported as normal.
To solve the issue, please follow the following Guided Answers (How Do You Fix Exceptions?): https://gad5158842f.us2.hana.ondemand.com/dtp/viewer/#/tree/1654/actions/21495
For more information please check MDM 7.1 Console Reference Guide >> Exception Handling section.

Thank you Istvan! I correct the error in import manager. However, the file still went to exception value X folder. Then I look at import manager again. It says it is ready to import. Anything else I need to do? Thanks!

Hi Yueshuang,
Have you saved the mapping after you changed it in Import Manager? Since MDIS will import the file using the defined mapping automatically, please make sure of that.
Best Regards,
Liz
