Movement Type 541-where it is used?

Hi,

Can some body please tell the SAP transaction behind the movement type 541, the description of the movement type reads as "GI whse to subc.stck"

the same is being in business by my user for packing material.

541 Transfer posting unrestricted-use stock - stock of material provided to vendor

With this movement type you provide the subcontractor with the components required for subcontract orders. The quantity is posted into unrestricted-use stock of material provided to vendor.

If there is a goods receipt for a subcontract order ( 101 ) consumption of components is posted from this stock.

The transfer posting can be posted via a delivery in Shipping.

To check the tranzactions where we can use this movement type got to OMJJ select movement type give required movement type and click on allowed tranzactions, you will able to see in which tranzactions u can use this

MB1B Transfer Posting

MB26 Picking list

ME2O SC Stock Monitoring (Vendor)

MIGO Goods Movement

VL01 Create Delivery

VL01N Create Outbound Dlv. with Order Ref.

Hi

Movement type 541 is used for issuing goods to vendor using transaction MB1B for doing some work on the material , the same is referred in SAP as Subcontrcating Process.

In your case if the user is issuing goods to the Packer for packing materials

Hi,

Mvt Type 541 is used to send the materials from your plant to the subcontractor. Or else you can also use ME2O also to send the material to the subcontractor. When we do this the system authomatically triggers 543 Mvt type.
