Hello experts,
Is there a possibility to set texts default language regardless users connexion language in SAP SD ?
The requirement is the following:
- The order acknowledgement form is only taking into account texts which language key = EN.
- To avoid to users selecting manually EN language each time a text has to be managed at sales order level, we would like to set this by default.
- Users logging to SAP in different languages (CN, EN, DE, IT, ES, etc.)
To my knowledge, there is no such option. But why don't you simply change the form to look for the text in other languages?
We had a similar issue in a bilingual system with operations in Mexico and US. Some processes are started by the people in one country and continued in the other. So we sometimes end up with the whole bunch of mixed texts that are registered under both ES and EN. (Even though all the text is, in fact, in English.) We made a form change to check both languages for certain texts. If there is a text under EN then that's what we print. Otherwise whatever is under ES. It's a bit more cumbersome with more than 2 languages but still much better IMHO than trying to change SAP.
I do wish though there were better tools for the international companies. Maybe in S/4HANA...

Actually, after few tests and OSS notes reading, the text language determined by default is the SOLD-TO one.
I would like to know if there's a possibility to determine automatically, by default, another language.
Thank you.
