PIR Consumption for MRP Backward/Forward.

Dear experts,

I am using strategy 40 for Pump A with Backward/Forward consumption of 60 days backward and 60 days forward.

My PIR is as follows :-

Current Stock Level = 0.

Material Month #1 Month #2 Month #3 Month #4 Month #5 ....

Pump A 100 100 100 100 100 ....

I created a Sales Order for Pump A with the quantity of 600 in Day 4 of Month #1.

After MRP run, planned order conversion and production order has been completed, I performed the delivery on Day #5 of Month #1.

When i perform delivery of my sales order and Post Goods Issue, I realise the consumption of PIR is incorrect

The expected results of this test should be : Month #1, Month #2 and Month #3 PIR is consumed.

However, it failed.

The results I got was that Month #1, Month #2, Month #3 and Month #4 PIR was consumed.

It has consumed 90 days ahead instead of 60.

Has anyone encountered this strange behaviour before? If yes, what was your problem at that time?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jiin,

The days mentioned in the Fwd/Bwd consumption fields are work days. Hence please check the the number workdays per month.

From current date add 60 work days & then check the month in which the 60th work day falls.

Hi,

Check whether have you assigned MRP group in material master MRP1 view. If so please remove and re run MRP. You will get correct result.
