Table for MESSAGE in process chain

Hi guys,

When you right click a certain process or step in a process chain, we can see a CREATE MESSAGE, right?

Just want to ask how to configure the BW system so that it automatically send a message if a chain was successful or not. I used four (4) BW systems and I noticed that one of them sends me a BLANK message while the other three (3) systems give me the detailed message about the process.

3 BW systems (detailed message)

1 BW system (blank message)

Questions:

1. I wanted to configure the lone BW system which sends a BLANK MESSAGE so it will also send a detailed message when process chain is successful or not. How will I configure it? I already asked our BASIS team but they don't have also an idea about it.

2. May I know what table(s) are the messages being stored? For example, I have entered a MESSAGE in the EDIT DOCUMENT part, where is this message being stored, the "TEST MAIL......." part? In case I can't do the number 1 item, I'm planning to do an ABAP code to just edit the table where the MESSAGE below is being stored.

Thank you.

Loed

Hi,

Saw the TECH NAME of the message under OBJNAM in table SOOD but in what table will I link it to get the actual message?

Thanks.

Hi,

As I wrote: "table SOOD (field OBJDES)"

So check the OBJDES (object description) field.

You can add this field with Top menu > Settings > Fields for Selection

What I mean is, OBJDES is not the field I am looking for. I found the techname of the MESSAGE I have created in process chain under the OBJNAM field. OBJDES is just the description of the OBJNAM. After getting the OBJNAM field, do you know in what table will I link SOOD to get the CONTENTS of the MESSAGE I have created?

Thanks.

Hi Loed,

These are Basis tables, I am not sure which is the relevant.

Only have this list:

SOOS, SOES, SOST, SOSC, SOOD
