Hi SAP experts,

I am a PI specialist, and I have a requirement to use PI JDBC adapter to insert data into HANA database table. I have looked around in SDN and see some posts stated that it is not realistic to use PI JDBC to post data into HANA table. While SAP note 1577128 does say that SAP HANA above SP6 is now supporting SAP PI JDBC adapter.

So my questions are:

1. What are the current SAP guidelines for use of SAP PI JDBC with HANA DB, we are on PI 7.31 SP17 and HANA 1 SP12

2. If it is not suggested to use SAP PI, what are the bad consequences if it is decided to use it ?

3. If SAP PI can be used, what are the best practices?

We are now in the process to get the HANA JDBC driver installed, appreciate your comments and help on this topic.
