New company - Canada

Hello,

We are trying to set up a new company code for our location in Canada. Can anyone share any documents or tell me where to find them with regards to Canadian tax configuration as well as steps for the whole company code config. Just to make sure i am not missing anything.

Look for SAP delivered Canadian company code in OBY6 (a company code with country CA) and use that as source company code to create your Canadian CoCd (using transaction EC01 - copy button (F6)). System will prompt you with certain questions like which chart of accounts you want to assign - answer them as per your requirement. Regarding tax configuration, SAP delivers country CA with tax procedure TAXCA (check in OY01) - leave it as it is. Go to FTXP, country CA and check if the standard tax codes suit your requirement. For each tax code, you will have to assign GL accounts from your chart of accounts. You can do it either in FTXP for each tax code, using the 'Tax accounts (F8)' button or via OB40.

Check the global parameters for your new company code (fiscal year, etc.) in OBY6 and change as per your needs.
