Cost included in SAP S/4HANA 1610 FPS01, Fully-Activated Appliance

Hello,

I have deployed "SAP S/4HANA 1610 FPS01, Fully-Activated Appliance" on AWS account, when i look at my SAP CAL instance page the cost forecast says apprx 4$ when running and around 88$ when stopped, does this mean these costs are for only using the SAP CAL correct ? and i will be responsible for AWS storage and server costs correct? or are they both included CAL and AWS ?

Please clarify.

Hi Jay,

these are the AWS costs (4USD per hour will only be charged when the instance is up, 88$ is the flat fee for disc storage).

For the SAP CAL license, the first 30 days are "for free" , afterwards you need to acquire a subscription license (e.g. online via

https://www.sapstore.com/solutions/99007/SAP-Cloud-Appliance-Library ).

Hosting fees for AWS will still apply and you are the contract partner for AWS via your AWS account.

This is kind of confusing, for a 4.8xlarge instance AWS cost me $1000 per month at 100% usage, where does this AWS costs from SAP cal fit in ? ( 4USD per hour will only be charged when the instance is up, 88$ is the flat fee for disc storage)
