Deletion flag set in cube but not deleting?

Hi ,

The data is being loaded from an ODS to Cube.It is FULL update.and the data being loaded through the process chain.

There is check mark for the data deletion in the infopackage to delete the data coming from same infosource.With this logic the data was used to delete upto last night.But from today morning the data from the cube is not being deleted thought there is setting for the deletion of the data.We have to manual delete the data.Can any one help me out what might be the problem.

Data in infocube is never deleted from an ODS instead ODS sends a negative record for delete the value in infocube....if you have a record in ODS the record is right deleted in ODS but in infocube in sent another record with the negative value from original value.....and when you run your query the positive and negative values cancel each other....

I am not talking about the recordmode flag available in ODS.But the Automatic deletionof similar requests which available in the infopackage.Hope I am clear.

When execute manually it works?

I believe i read some posts about the process chains dont execute the deletion process...

Theres a new process that you must include in your process chain for deletion of previoius requests in infocube

Check that

Our onsite folks have fixed it.They just removed the delete process from the PC and then again added.Now it is working.Can any help me to understand how come it got fixed without any changes?

We had this issue in Finance area where requests won't get deleted from the cube. So there were two requests at the end. We then deleted both manually and reloaded.

At teh InfoPackage level we unchecked the flag once and again set it, both times saving after setting. The problem vanished on its own. I know this sounds like "rebooting windows" solution, however that worked for us.

Hello,

Check if somebody has changed the variant for "Delete Overlapping Requests from InfoCube". So when they have reassigned it, it has worked.

No the option in the Infoacpakge automatic deletion is not changes.It is as it was earlier.But the question is how come it got effected in the next loads.Pleae help me to understand this issue.
