ABAP Web option in RSRT in SAP BW

In RSRT tcode, we have 2 options for running the bex query via web browser - ABAP Web, and Java Web.

The ABAP Web button opens the url with format http://<default-host>/SAP/BW/BEX?&QUERY=<SOME_QUERY>. This is actually the service (sap/bw/BEx) configured in SICF tcode. Questions:

1. Is 'ABAP Web' option (and the service sap/bw/BEx) associated with a specific version of BW/Bex (3.5 or 7x)? Or is this option independent of BW/Bex version?
2. Between 'ABAP Web' and 'Java Web' options, does SAP recommend one over the other for use in BW 7.5?

Hi,

in RSRT the display options ABAP Web and HTML open the 3.x ABAP Web runtime, while the 'Java Web' option opens the 7.x Java Web runtime.
