prevent output message generation when mass setting final invoice indicator in PO

we are performing a cleansing of our old PO and using MEMASSPO in order to set "delivery complete" and "Final invoice" indicators.

the main issue we encountered is the resetting of the release strategy, annoying but harmless and the generation of new output messages sent to the vendors.

I have looked into the forums and notes and found some similar issues but no actual solutions.

aside from the obvious deleting the output in the condition records with MN05 (which means I could do that only during week end for obvious reasons) is there a way I can prevent the creation of a new message and, if possible, also the resetting of the release strategy?

Hi Alisa,

You can try to delete the fields from SPRO>Materials Management>Purchasing>Messages>Field Relevant to printout of changes. The messages will be triggered but will fail.

i tested this already but I am not sure it works for all, just for printout.

we also have some EDI output messages and those are still generated.

A different way I thought about is to set all the dispatch time to 3 and when I am done, delete all the generated spools and set dispatch time back to the previous status.

Is there a way to change dispatch in mass?
