Generate multiple MATMAS idocs based on plant.

Hi Gurus,

We currently have a setup where, when material is changed in mm02, using an FM assigned BTE event 1250, we call BD10 transaction with Material number and Logical system as input. The generated IDOC has marc records of every plant it is extended to. Now the requirement is to create multiple IDOCs based on the the number of plants the material is available in. Each idoc should contain only information related to one plant. There should be an idoc generated for each material plant combination.

I am not sure this can be achieved by called BD10 as it takes only material no and msg typ as input. Should i manually fill the idocs and distribute it based on the plant? Or created multiple message types and its filter in BD64 ? Please let me know what would be the optimal solution.

Many thanks,

BD10 creates a "master IDoc" (which is not the actual IDoc) and it is then distributed (=1 or more actual IDocs created) based on BD64 model and profiles. If, as you're saying, Plant is available as a filter then that should work.

As a side note, this concept is explained in this little book. :)

Completing Jelena's answer, the only 'standard' I can see is

create as many partners as plants, assign the MATMAS to each one in WE20 (all partners pointing the same port)

Then in the BD64 distribution model, make a filter so each partner is sent only its own plant in the marc segment.

when you use BD10/BD21 the system will send as many idoc as partners, meaning as many plants, and then each idoc has got the right plant only thanks to filtering...
