Change "Line Number" in service tab in case of Service PO

Hi Experts,

One of my client having requirement of changing line Number in service activity tab, they expecting result as follow.


Main line item- 10 Test

Service tab- 10.1


Main line item - 20 Test1

Service tab- 20.1


How to fulfill this requirement ?

Please suggest best solution.

    Where do they expect this exactly, in ME21N or on the printed form?

    In ME21N / ME22N you can't get that with the item number. You can insert an item above a selected item, which means if you select item 10 and click the new line icon, then you get an item 09. if you select item 20 and click the new line icon then you item 19 between 10 and 20.

    There are customer fields if you scroll to the right. You might use one of them to type the number of your desire and use this field then in your print program to control the sequence and for the item number.

      Thanks for reply.

      I want it on both Me21n and smartform also but I dont think there is any way do it as per requirement.

      Kindly suggest alternative way. I generally have 300 to 800 service line item in service PO.

    There is no direct option to maintain the hirearchy levels like 10.1, 10.2 etc based on the line item number. However, as an alternative option, you may click the "Full Screen of Services" button in PO - Services tab and "switch on the outline". Here, you may maintain up to 4 hirearchy levels and will be structured as folder structure. Check the same and revert back.
