Currency Translation during ML startup (CKMSTART)

Hi All,

We are maintaining 3 currencies in ML:

10-Company code currency (AUD), 30-Group currency(AUD), 31-Group currency, group valuation(USD).
We will load the legacy prices in system and will run CKMSTART at the beginning date of go-live period. As i know the system will convert the inventory values from legacy currency to parallel currencies maintained in the system.

Can any one please explain how system will convert the legal currency prices to parallel currencies i.e., 30 & 31. My doubt here is when we are upload the price lets say legal price is $10, then when we run CKMSTART, i can see different values in all the three currencies in the system.

I want to understand how system convert these prices in different values. Is it based on some exchange rate maintained in the system as on that particular date or is there any other logic.

you can use the exchange rate type on the CKMSTART input screen. It can be the same exchange rate type which you maintain and use in OB08
