Crystal 8 + Stored Procedure + SQL 2005 = Crash?

Hi there,

trying to modify an old report created in Crystal Reports 8. Opening it in Crystal Reports 8 but when I try to open the ODBC-source (that I manage to create without problems) Crystal Reports just crash, with the error message:

crw32.exe - Application Error

-

The instruction at "0x7c91888f" referenced memory at "0x036b2eb0". The memory could not be "read".

This error occurs if I tick the check box for Stored Procedures. If I open the ODBC-source in Data Explorer, without wanting to see the Stored Procedure, everything works fine. However, I need a Stored Procedure.

I have an idea that since we are now using SQL Server 2005, that's where the problem lies? Have anyone ever heard anything about this or have any ideas?

We are using version 8.0.1.0, maybe there are some Service Packs or Hot Fixes for this version anywhere? (Haven't been able to find any).
