stock figure variation

Hi Friends,

when I execute MB5B transaction for one of our client, in stock category if I choose "valuated stock" it is showing some stock, but if I select "stor loc/batch" it is showing some different stock. why is this so? Can anybody help me?

Hiii,

There will be Special Stock which does not show at the Storage Location Stock, like Sub Contractors stock, Consignment stock etc., so there will be a difference in the valuated stock and at S.Loc level.

If you compare the MB5B report with the MB51 ( Posting Dates should be same in the two reports) you will get the Variance quantities.

not all stock that is stored in your plant must be valuated. A return stock is non-valuated until you transfer it to own stock. GR into GR blocked stock is unvaluated, too.

Further you can have materials of material type UNBW which is designed for non-valuated stock.

This stock is stored but the costs are directly charged to an account while doing the GR.
