contranns hangs in the recieve phase

Hi All,

Contranns is hanging in the recieve phase. I assigned a site and the did an extract the R&R queues have succesfuly transferred the data to the mobile client.

After the initial sync the data is transferred and the outbound queues are cleared.

After the step when i tried to run the contranns its hanging in the recieve phase.

Please suggest.

Check the outbound queues in the CRM Server for the site. If the messages have the status 'Message edited in target system', you need to delete these entries and then re-extract the data.

i can verify Mohanrangan's response!

We had a similar issue where conntrans was saying that data transfer was complete but it had actually got stuck on some particularly "beefy" messages.

For the receive portion, we changed the messages to pull to 10, which was a nice balance so that it did not inversely affect the time to download.

For the import portion, it was fixed with the applying of note 1071267 which not only helped with the import but also did wonders for keeping the connection stable.

We also changed the package size for a number of BDocs although we still have issues occasionally when they are compressed through AC_EXTRACT.

We are also using 5.0 with SP11 but SQL2KPE with SP4

Hello,

Conntrans hangs in receive phase can be due to the size of the messages.

Try reducing the transferrate/NumMsgToPull in the system registry to 1.

also reduce the MAX_PACKAGE_SIZE for the bdoc which is taking time and test you changes.

For clientconsole queue manager error: Note 1167257 is available and should fix the problem.

Also applying the latest Mobile client hotfix 1071267(> 5.0 sp9) or 1028225 (<= 5.0 sp8) should fix the

problem.

Both CRM and Mobile Client are unicode enabled and we are using MSA 5.0 SP11 with MS SQL server 2005 SP02 developer edition

Hi Ankan,

Thanks a lot for the immediate response. During the initial synchronizaiton of the mobile client All the Outbound queues are cleared from the CRM system.

And the recieve is also succesfull in the Contranns. But the data import didnot happen. Contranns hanged in the data import phase and there are no errors.

I checked the Queue Manager in the Mobile client and there are no entries. But when its refreshed the following error is seen.

"Error loading queue entries from the user database (IDES)."

I have installed both SQL server and the Mobile Client in the Windows authentication mode.

Please suggest.
