How to get margins and alignment to maintain when exporting to Editable RTF

Our application uses CR Runtime 13.X so our exports are limited. If we export as Word (doc) the document cannot be edited, so we're stuck with Editable RTF. When we do this, there are no margins. We need to export the report as RTF as we need to allow the users to paste in text from other word documents.

Since there are no margins, it's just pasting at the far left then far right and doesn't maintain the alignment as the other text boxes in the report.

Is there a way that the report exports with the margins setup on the report because it's currently not doing so. How do we say create a letter type report that we need users to paste in text from other word documents so that when pasted, it maintains all the formatting?

I've tried using indents, alignment lines but nothing works. The documetn opens in word with no margins set.

Unfortunately our application only supports crystal reports and these reports are run/generatated from within it.

One option to get around this problem is to create a Word template document and flow content from the Crystal report to populate tokens and tables in the template and save to a new file.
At least one of the 3rd-party Crystal Reports automation tools listed here can do this.
