Hi. We have accounts and employees with assigned sales territories. The employee is also assigned in an org unit. We also have set the restriction of the Opportunities' read and write access as restricted with restriction rule: 1 - Recommended: Territories, Employees (for Managers).

To demonstrate, please refer to the following scenario:

Business user: Minam

Account name: Bikers

Territory: Laguna

Org unit: Lag1

Say, Minam is added as an employee in Lag1 and also assigned as a member of Laguna. The account Bikers is assigned to Laguna as well. Minam now creates an opportunity for Bikers with the Owner = Minam as well.

Now, if Minam is removed from the org unit (Lag1) and also removed as a team member of the territory (Laguna), Minam is still able to access the opportunity and even edit it.

Is there a way to restrict Minam's access to not display (or not be editable at least) the opportunities assigned to him as long as he is not part of the org unit or territory anymore, even though he is the owner of the opportunity?

Hi Martin,

We have assigned Minam with a business role of Sales. The Sales business role has the restriction rule for the write and read access of opportunity.

Hi Eliza, we do not work with opportunities, but in Sales Quotes we use restriction rule "3 - Territories: Access based on the employee's territory assignment only", which does not influence visibility for the owner. My guess would be removal of ownership via mass data.
