QA40 - Auto UD for Production Lots - failed MIC Auto UD still allowed

Hi

We are using 03 origin Inspection Lots and we would like to do an Auto UD . I know about the ability to either scedhule a job or trigger manually the Auto UD which looks at the status of the Production Order , the transaction is QA40

Whilst testing this today , I was surprised to see an Auto UD happen even when I had failed a MIC . The SAP Documentation on Auto UDs does not say anything about 03 origin Lots ignoring the valuation of the MICS , it implies that any failed MIC means that the Auto UD will not happen , but this does not appear to be the case

Does anyone have any experience of this ?

Thanks

Helen

The program only requires that at least one MIC has a value recorded and valuated/closed. It doesn't care about anything else with regard to the inspection lot. It looks at the status of the order based on the choices you make when running the program.

The reason is that the 03 lots don't actually control stock. Also, often in 03 lots, it's not unusual to have out-of-spec results. In fact, its pretty normal in the PP-PI world, especially if you use inspection points or SPC.

I agree that the documentation could be clearer.

    Hello,

We implemented a z version of rqevai50 based on the recommendation of this note - 158455

Somewhat surprised this was never updated in a support pack since we first put this in ~ 8yrs ago. Anyway, hope that helps.

    Regards,

    John
