SAP PI SFTP adapter does not use temporary file name

Hi experts,

We are using the SFTP Adapter to transfer XML-files to an SFTP server of our business partner.

The communication chanel does not create a temporary file although we have set this parameter on the processing tab of the channel configuration. The target file is immediately created with the final file name. Thus our partner system picks up partial files from time to time. Especially if we are transferring large files.

Can anybody confirm that the temporary file feature works generally? Has anybody an idea, why it could not work?

We have installed SP5 with the latest patch last week, but still it does not work.

Any help appreciated!

This problem was solved with the help of the SAP Support Team.

The active configuration in the runtime cache still contained the old value "WriteMode=direct". Although the cache update in the Integration Builder was showing "green lights". And also a restart of the communication channel that was done several times did not help.

You can see the active configuration in the "outdated" runtime workbench (/rwb) -> Cache Monitoring.

So finally there still seems to be a Problem with the SFTP Adapter configuration in Terms of the Cache update.

But at least we can check what configuration is actually active with the help of the good old runtime workbench!
